About the Panchang

The Panchang ("five limbs") is the Hindu almanac used to choose auspicious times. Its five elements are Tithi (lunar day), Vara (weekday), Nakshatra (lunar mansion), Yoga (Sun–Moon combination) and Karana (half-tithi).

Values are given at local sunrise for New Delhi, India (28.61°, 77.21°, Asia/Kolkata), using the Lahiri ayanamsa 24°13'32". Avoid starting new work during Rahu Kaal.
